What I get from my art is what I am to receive from the life. I lead a sense of boundaries between art and non-art , between media, special awakenings- art and life. If I were asked - What I thought about my art, or what I thought my art should say, the strongest thing about my art is the fact that I chose to embrace the ordinary things of "this " life. The basic goal of art is to teach my students all the essentials of art,(i.e. the elements of art....Line,shape color ,texture, and value). Students will also learn about individual artists and their methods (styles and techniques) of expressing or emphasizing these elements of art.
This year has brought about yet, another fade in my teaching career, and that is one which will allow me to serve children with special needs. This , I feel at my most creative ability will be a great advocate for children who are not well served by schools except through special arrangements. . ."Let the journey began."
The key is to keep company only with people who uplift you ,whose presence calls fourth your best. These are words I try to live by on a daily basis. I relocated from Santa Barbara California, with three children. I earned a BFA from the University of Southern Mississippi and 2x Masters degree from Alcorn State UNIVERSITY. My philosophy of life is to put your best foot forward and keep reaching for the stars.
