About the Teacher

Mrs. Cynthia Denise Edwards attended the Franklin County School District, where she graduated from the Franklin County High School. While in high school she was a part of the General Music Choir and the Sextet Ensemble. She attended the Copiah-Lincoln Junior College in Wesson, Ms. where she received her Associate degree in Liberal Arts. While attending Co-Lin she was a member of the General Music Choir,Ambassadors and was chosen for All-State. She then attended Mississippi College where she received her Bachelor’s in Music Education. While at Mississippi College she was a member of the Chorale Choir and the Mississippi College Singers. After graduating from Mississippi College, she became the music director at Alexander Junior High School which is located in Brookhaven, MS where she has resided over the last 31 years. This is her 13th year as choir director at Alexander Junior High School.
