Step by Step Analysis:

1. Underline the central idea.

2. Circle the transitions words.

3. Highlight the specific sentences that prove the main point.

Example 1: Science (Honeybees)

Honeybees are social insects that play a vital role in global agriculture through pollination. Worker bees travel from flower to flower, gathering nectar and pollen to feed their colony. As they move, pollen sticks to their fuzzy bodies and transfers to other plants, which allows flowers, fruits, and vegetables to reproduce. Without the daily work of honeybees, many staple crops that humans rely on for food would dramatically decline.

Example 2: Nature (The Sahara Desert)

The Sahara Desert is the largest hot desert in the world, covering most of North Africa. Despite receiving less than three inches of rain each year, it features a surprisingly diverse range of landscapes, including massive sand dunes, dry valleys, and rocky plateaus. Animals that live here, such as the fennec fox and the dromedary camel, have unique body adaptations that help them survive extreme heat and scarce water.

Example 3: Technology (GPS)

The Global Positioning System, commonly known as GPS, is a satellite-based

navigation network owned by the United States government and used worldwide. At least 24 operational satellites orbit Earth, transmitting radio signals that receivers in smartphones, cars, and watches pick up. By calculating the exact travel time of signals from multiple satellites, a GPS receiver can pinpoint an exact location on the globe within a few feet.
